Some useful info

Weekend Logistics

Friday

  • The party will start at 7 pm at Bagni Olimpia Vittoria. Sunset should be around 8.15, so come early to enjoy some golden hour! We will go until 12-12.30, and food and drinks will of course be provided.

  • The beach club is in a pedestrian area in the center of the town, so if you’re driving, you’ll need to walk shortly. If you need to call a taxi, here are some numbers: 3337161421 (only available until 7 pm), 019931010, 3475858120, or 019808080 (don’t forget the +39!). The closest spot for drop-off and pick-up is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/NJ5H5aKSHhk6VG8j9

Saturday

  • The ceremony will start at 4 pm, so you will need to take your seats in the church a bit before then.

  • In terms of getting to the reception, we are trying our best to orchestrate lifts so that the least amount of people need to drive. We will message you individually so that you know whether to hop on one of the vans or if someone else will be driving you up. If we haven’t talked yet, we’ll be in touch shortly!

  • To get back to the town, there will be vans going down throughout the night until 3 am. They will make two main stops, one at Hotel San Michele and one at B&B Hotel Riviera, so if your accommodation is on the way feel free to ask them to hop off.

Sunday(ish)

  • No formal events on Sunday. BUT if you’re not in a rush to leave, we’ll be hanging out by the pool at Ganci Farm with some focaccia, and we’d love for you to join. Please tell us if you think you might be there, so that we can order an appropriate amount of snacks ahead of time.

  • If you want to spend time at the beach, on Sunday or at any other point in the weekend, we can only highly recommend that you go to our friends at Bagni Olimpia Vittoria (on Sunday or on any other day); just message Davide at this number to book a sunbed, and say that you’re visiting for our wedding: +39 338 530 8707

FAQs

Dress code

For Friday’s welcome party, the recommendation is simply to dress like you’re at the seaside, going to a beach party on a summer night :) Think flowy dresses, sandals, and linen shirts and pants. In case you might want to go for a midnight swim in the sea, feel free to pack a bathing suit as well (we’ll have a few towels ready for afterwards).

Saturday’s ceremony and reception will be formal, meaning long or below-the-knee dresses for women and suits for men. There is no need for tuxedos, and ties are very much optional too. We do recommend avoiding stilettos or thin heels, as the events will take place on the beach and in the countryside, where the flooring can be uneven. Flats or wedges/block heels will be much more comfortable.

Overall, just have fun and bring out some colors! 🍋🍊🍓🍑🌶️☀️🍹

Speeches

As we are trying to take the best of Italian and Norwegian wedding traditions, we’re keeping things light and joyful, with a focus on mingling, eating, and dancing. Instead of one long sit-down dinner, we’ll have a lively aperitivo, followed by a couple of courses at the table, so that we can leave plenty of time for the dance floor.

Given this timeline, we have already planned a small number of short speeches from our closest family and friends, carefully spaced throughout the evening to keep the energy flowing. In case there is something that you would really love to say (or perform?), please reach out to our wedding planner ahead of time, as we may only have space for very brief additional contributions.

Weather in Celle

The first weekend of September in Liguria is typically warm and summery (jinx jinx jinx), with daytime temperatures in the high 20s °C and evenings rarely dipping below 25 °C. We recommend packing light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable throughout the weekend. As the reception will be held in the hills, a light jacket or shawl could come in handy if the evening turns cooler. While we’re hoping for sunshine, even in the event of rain, you likely won’t need anything too heavy.
