FAQs

When do I need to RSVP by?

We kindly ask you to RSVP as soon as you can. We understand that plans may shift, especially with travel involved, but even a rough idea of the numbers a few months in advance will help us greatly in organizing everything.

What will the weather be like?

The first weekend of September in Liguria is typically warm and summery, with daytime temperatures in the high 20s °C and evenings rarely dipping below 25 °C. We recommend packing light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable throughout the weekend. As the reception will be held in the hills, a light jacket or shawl could come in handy if the evening turns cooler. While we’re hoping for sunshine, even in the event of rain, you likely won’t need anything too heavy.

What should I wear to the events?

For Friday’s welcome party the dress code is beach chic, which is just a mysterious (but definitely shorter) way of saying “dress like you’re at the seaside going out for dinner on a summer night”. Think flowy dresses, sandals, and linen shirts and pants. In case you might want to go for a midnight swim in the sea, feel free to pack a bathing suit as well.

Saturday’s ceremony and reception will be formal, meaning long or below-the-knee dresses for women and suits for men (no need for tuxedos though). We do recommend avoiding stilettos or thin heels, as the events will take place on the beach and in the countryside, where the flooring can be uneven. Flats or wedges/block heels will be much more comfortable.
